Sara Evans is releasing “Marquee Sign” on June 9th. It’s the first single from her forthcoming Words album due July 21st on her own Born To Fly Records. Evans co-wrote the song which features background vocals by her 14 year old daughter Olivia.

Words is her first studio album in three years and since her split with RCA Records over a year ago. The album — her eighth overall — contains 13 new original songs and an acoustic version of her No. 1 single, “A Little Bit Stronger.” Words was co-produced by Evans and Mark Bright, who has produced Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts.

Evans will celebrate the album’s release by hosting an album preview party on Wednesday, June 7th at Nashville’s City Winery to give fans a sneak peek at the songs from her upcoming album. The sold out midday show, which takes place at the start of CMA Music Festival, will feature a live performance from the CMA Award-winning singer — including No. 1 hits “No Place That Far,” “Suds In The Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place To Start, “Born To Fly” and “A Little Bit Stronger” — as well as never-before heard songs from Words. Attendees will also get a meet and greet and photo with Evans following the show as well as pre-order signed copies of Words at the party.

With album sales in excess of five million units, five No. 1 country singles including “No Place That Far,” “Suds In The Bucket, “A Real Fine Place To Start,” “Born to Fly,” and “A Little Bit Stronger,” which spent two weeks in the top spot and was certified platinum by the RIAA, Evans plays close to 100 shows each year. Her “stunning, country voice” (Rolling Stone) has earned her the prestigious Academy of Country Music Top Female vocalist accolade as well as numerous American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Country Music Association, CMT and Grammy Awards nominations. In addition, the CMA awarded Video of the Year honors for her hit chart-topping single, “Born to Fly” from her double-platinum album of the same name.

In 2014, Evans released her critically acclaimed seventh studio album Slow Me Down, which debuted at No. 2 on the Country Album Chart and landed in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, winning over fans and media alike and dubbed her best album to date. Named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People,” Evans’ career also includes the platinum-selling studio albums Real Fine Place and Restless and the gold-certified No Place That Far. Evans continues to forge a bold, creative path with the launch of Born To Fly Records, distributed by Sony RED.

In addition to a prolific country music career, Evans is an accomplished author, lifestyle blogger and Red Cross ambassador who in 2008 was presented with the national Crystal Cross award for her work with the disaster-relief organization.
