The Scarlet Opera drops ‘Someone’s Gotta Love ‘Em’

The band wraps their headlining tour this weekend

Buzzing Los Angeles band The Scarlet Opera unleashes a showstopping new single entitled “Someone’s Gotta Love ‘Em,” via SB Projects/Republic Records. The high-energy song sets the stage for their forthcoming sophomore EP, due out later this summer.

On “Someone’s Gotta Love ‘Em,” epic guitars resound, cinematic strings soar, and frontman Luka Bazulka emanates the kind of star power and charisma that comes along once in a generation. The catchy chorus proves instantly chantable as he sets the scene, “I met a bird last night she was drunk at a bar, she said let me introduce you to my friend he’s a star.”

“‘Someone’s Gotta Love ‘Em’ is an electric and visceral recount of characters we’ve met throughout our bar hopping years – much like most of this upcoming EP, we found a mirror was being held up to us while writing about all these wonderfully bizarre creatures of the night,” the band shares. “As it turns out, they are we and we are them – and someone’s gotta love us, don’t you think!”

It follows the fiery “Catch Me If You Can.”

In other news, the band is currently wrapping up their headlining Catch Me If You Can Tour this weekend, which has canvassed much of the US. With only one show remaining, the tour concludes with a sold-out show on June 9th at Songbyrd Music House in Washington, DC. Not to mention, they just ignited the stage of Napa’s BottleRock Festival.

Last year, the band released their empowering single “That Kind Of Woman” and beloved debut Comedy EP, which features breakout songs “The Place To Be,” “Big City Thing,” “Alive,” and “Riot.” The EP has amassed millions of streams to date with the band receiving a nomination for Breakthrough Music Artist at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards.
