Both shows currently in the works
Selena Gomez has two projects in the works with Food Network. Fresh off her hit Emmy-nominated HBO Max series, Selena + Chef, Gomez joins Food Network later this year with a new celebration-focused series just in time for the holidays. Gomez will also soon begin working on a new series for 2024 that will have her meeting up with some of the best chefs in the country in a quest to cook their most popular dishes when she visits their kitchens. Both projects will be produced by July Moon Productions and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures Television for Food Network.
The news was made during the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation this week in New York City.
Ahead of the shows, Gomez can be seen starring in season three of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin and Martin Short. The new season premieres August 8th. The show features the trio starting a podcast about their obsession of true crime, only to find themselves in the midst of one in real life. Gomez is a co-executive producer on the series.
Late last year, she released “My Mind & Me” which was inspired by her own personal journals. The song depicts deeply emotional parts of her life and was written by Gomez, Amy Allen, Jonathan Bellion, Michal Pollack, Stefan Johnson, and Jordan K. Johnson.
Gomez was also the subject of an Apple TV+ documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, in November 2022. After years in the limelight, Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light, and is directed by Alek Keshishian (Madonna: Truth or Dare).
