Feat was with powerful ballad “Lose You To Love Me”

Selena Gomez’s first single, “Lose You To Love Me,” from her highly anticipated third solo album, marks a historic moment for the singer as she lands her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Gomez co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Mattias Larsson with additional production from FINNEAS. “Lose You To Love Me,” available via Interscope Records, immediately dominated and shot to No. 1 at Global Spotify, Apple Music and US iTunes. In the US the song, with 38.8 million streams this week, has over 58.5 million cumulative streams. The accompanying music video shot by the acclaimed Sophie Muller has nearly 110 million views on YouTube and was shot entirely on the new iPhone 11 Pro.

On the heels of “Lose You To Love Me,” Gomez surprised fans 24 hours later with the release of a brand new song, “Look At Her Now,” which debuts at No. 27 on the chart. Upon release, Gomez said it was a “special gift to all of her fans” and thanked them for “pushing her to be her best.” Gomez co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter as well as Ian Kirkpatrick. The Sophie Muller directed video was also shot entirely on the new iPhone 11 Pro.

“Lose You To Love Me” is Gomez’s 28th song on the Billboard Hot 100 with 14 of the songs going Top 20. Gomez has had a total of seven Top 10 Hits on the Hot 100 and previously reached No.5 with “Same Old Love” and “Good For You.” Selena’s “Bad Liar” was named No. 1 on Billboard’s “100 Best Songs of 2017.”

Later this month, Gomez will return to the stage at the American Music Awards. This will mark her first live televised performance in two years. The 2019 American Music Awards will broadcast live on Sunday, November 24th at 8 pm EST on ABC.

Earlier this year, Gomez was featured on “I Can’t Get Enough” with Benny Blanco, J Balvin and Tainy. In 2018, she collaborated with DJ Snake, Ozuna and Cardi B on the global hit “Taki Taki,” which became one of the fastest videos to reach over 100 million views. Her previous seventeen singles including “It Ain’t Me” with Kygo, “Bad Liar,” “Fetish,” “Wolves” x Marshmello and “Back to You” all have been certified by the RIAA. As a solo artist Gomez has accumulated over 20 billion global streams.

Gomez most recently executive produced the critically acclaimed Netflix docu-series Living Undocumented which created much buzz and discussion regarding the polarizing issue of undocumented people living in the United States. Earlier this year, she starred in Jim Jarmusch’s film The Dead Don’t Die opposite Bill Murray and Adam Driver, which premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
