Selena Gomez releases video for ‘Same Old Love’ on Apple Connect

Multi-platinum singer and actress Selena Gomez releases the video for her brand new single “Same Old Love” exclusively on Apple Connect and The video was directed by Michael Haussman (Justin Timberlake, Kanye West) and produced by Pulse Films.

Selena Gomez invited fans from around the world to partake in a once in a lifetime “Revival” fan event on Thursday, September 16th at Los Angeles’ Palace Theatre. Lucky contest winners were treated to an advanced screening of her new video “Same Old Love.” Selena proceeded to announce that only one element of the cinematic video was missing and she needed their involvement. Fans were ecstatic to learn that they were being incorporated into the actual video. Selenators took to Twitter by storm to share their excitement about #REVIVALevent which trended #1 in the US and globally with over 218k tweets using the hashtag. A collection of the best tweets curated by @TwitterMusic. Over 24,000 photos were added to Instagram as well making it a top trending tag for the night.

After completing the filming of the video, fans were treated to the first live performance of “Same Old Love” as well as Gomez’s #1 hit single “Good For You.” The song is #1 for the second consecutive week at Top 40 radio and #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, her highest charting single to date.

“This song represents the many cycles of love and it was important that the video showed different examples of love,” said Gomez. “Plus, I got to surprise my fans by including them in it which made it even more special for me.”
