Final version appears on Rare

Approaching the one-year anniversary release of Selena Gomez’s massive global hit single, “Lose You to Love Me,” Gomez has shared with her fans a demo version of the critically acclaimed song she co-wrote with Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Finneas. Upon its release via Interscope Records, “Lose You to Love Me” skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 marking Gomez’s first No. 1 on the chart. In addition, the song has over one billion streams to date and was No. 1 worldwide on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube as well as mainstream radio.

“Lose You to Love Me” was the first single from Gomez’s No. 1 album Rare. Released earlier this year, the album immediately received praise from critics. Variety proclaimed, “Rare is one of the best pop albums released in recent memory;” Pitchfork said it was “a smooth and confident pop record” and Stereogum stated it “was worth the wait.”

The pop star recently teamed with K-pop superstars Blackpink for “Ice Cream,” the second single from the K-pop quartet’s massively anticipated debut album, set for release via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records
