Shenandoah to perform special Hurricane Helene benefit concert

The event is set for October 14th in Knoxville

Shenandoah is coming to the aid of hurricane victims in Cocke County, Tennessee. On Monday, October 14th, the legendary group will perform at Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxville, Tennessee, with proceeds going to those in the area affected by Hurricane Helene.

“The devastation and destruction is unbelievable,” explains Shenandoah frontman Marty Raybon. “The loss of life is more than one can comprehend. But my heart is warmed to see the compassion of those who have come to help in any way they can. People from all over the southeast have come and helped in many different ways. It truly shows the heart of the American spirit. We will be at Cotton Eyed Joe next Monday for an acoustic set to raise money for the cause of mercy. I want to personally invite you to come out and enjoy tunes like ‘Two Dozen Roses,’ ‘Church on Cumberland Road,’ ‘Moon Over Georgia’ and all the rest of the hits as we try to do our part to help.”

The band recently teamed with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for a re-record of Shenandoah’s hit, “Sunday in the South,” available now via 8 Track Entertainment. All three artists, with their deep roots in country music and genuine love for the genre, lend their unique voices to the song. Bryan’s smooth, laid-back style and Aldean’s gritty, powerful delivery complement Shenandoah’s timeless sound, creating a collaboration that celebrates the heart of southern life.

“Sunday in the South,” with Aldean and Bryan follows Shenandoah’s new version of their smash hit “Two Dozen Roses” with Luke Combs which reached No. 1 on the All Genre iTunes chart and the Country iTunes chart while amassing over 20 million global streams.
