GRAMMY Award-winning, acclaimed alternative rock pioneers, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced an intimate, surprise show will take place at a legendary Los Angeles venue this Wednesday, June 27th. Fans can tune in to 106.7 KROQ on Wednesday morning at 7 am PST to find out the show’s location and how to get tickets.

Next month, The Smashing Pumpkins will embark on the Shiny And Oh So Bright North American arena tour with support from Metric. Produced by Live Nation, the tour is the band’s first in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Corgan, Chamberlin, and Iha. Longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates, and keyboardist Katie Cole will also take part, as the band moves to a three guitar lineup to better emulate the signature tones and textures of their albums. Tickets for the band’s upcoming live dates are available at smashingpumpkins.com, LiveNation.com and via the Live Nation App.

Earlier this month, The Smashing Pumpkins dropped “Solara”, the first recording in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin. Recorded in Malibu, CA at Shangri La Studios with producer Rick Rubin and guitarist Jeff Schroeder, “Solara” is available now to stream and download on all digital music platforms via Martha’s Music under license to Napalm Records.

Last month, the group announced a special tour kickoff 1979 House Party where they’ll perform an intimate show at a secret residential location in Los Angeles, CA on June 28th. The sweepstakes winner and a guest will receive exclusive access to the 1979 House Party, a Yamaha guitar, round-trip flights to Los Angeles, CA, a two-night stay at a Hilton property, and a cash card for ground transportation. The 1979 House Party is sponsored by Live Nation, Hilton and Yamaha.

Produced by Live Nation, the Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour is The Smashing Pumpkins’ first tour in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and James Iha. The 39-city outing kicks off in Glendale, AZ on July 12th and will visit North American arenas throughout the summer. Indie rock band Metric will support them on the tour.
