Smashing Pumpkins announce tour dates

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced that they’ll tour North America and Europe this year. Rolling Stone reports the Billy Corgan fronted group will play a single show in Mexico on March 23rd then play a slew of shows for three weeks in the U.S. before hitting the European market for two months beginning in June.

Only ten dates are on the schedule in the States before playing European festivals. No word if anymore dates will be announced.

The Pumpkins are in the midst of completely reissuing deluxe editions of their entire catalog complete with bonus tracks and B-sides. The most recent reissue is the final album with the group’s original lineup of Corgan, guitarist James Iha, drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and bassist D’arcy Wretzky, 1995’s Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in a deluxe 5 CD/1 DVD massive boxed set in December 2012.
