Sony Music Nashville signs McCoy Moore

“John Deere Blue” will drop on May 16th

Sony Music Nashville has announced the signing of singer-songwriter McCoy Moore in partnership with Cervidae Records.

โ€œDays like today make all the time I put into this dream worth it and lights the fire under me all over again,โ€ Moore shares. โ€œI couldnโ€™t be more excited to partner with Sony Music Nashville, and I canโ€™t wait to see what we accomplish together as a team. I have the best people around me and weโ€™re just getting started. Itโ€™s such a cool day for me โ€“ Iโ€™m so thankful.โ€

With an uncanny power to mold the Godโ€™s-honest-truth into casual, clever hooks โ€“ plus a disarming charm that canโ€™t be faked โ€“ Moore makes the kind of country that never tries too hard but always hits just right. The 24-year-old talent possesses an instant-classic vocal and a no-pretense style, mixing modern sonic energy with timeless heart.

Growing up, Moore went on to take guitar and voice lessons instead of geometry, developing a rich, commanding baritone he mostly used at home. But everything changed in 2017, when the 16-year-old Moore met a rising star named Luke Combs. Offering sage advice, Combs encouraged Mooreโ€™s relaxed-fit authenticity while preaching the make-it-happen gospel โ€ฆ and the newcomer took it to heart. Moving to Nashville at 19, Moore spent the ensuing years honing a craft defined by sharp country hooks and warm, welcoming relatability, already earning cuts by Shane Profitt, Roman Alexander, Bryce Mauldin and more.

Moore, who was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, will release his new track โ€œJohn Deere Blueโ€ tomorrow (Fri, May 16th). Co-written with Shane McAnally and Johnny Clawson, the waltz-twinged ballad was produced by Will Bundy.

Next up, the Florida native will join Hardy, Koe Wetzel, and Stephen Wilson Jr. on the road for the Jim Bob World Tour throughout the U.S., U.K., and Ireland.
