“John Deere Blue” will drop on May 16th
Sony Music Nashville has announced the signing of singer-songwriter McCoy Moore in partnership with Cervidae Records.
โDays like today make all the time I put into this dream worth it and lights the fire under me all over again,โ Moore shares. โI couldnโt be more excited to partner with Sony Music Nashville, and I canโt wait to see what we accomplish together as a team. I have the best people around me and weโre just getting started. Itโs such a cool day for me โ Iโm so thankful.โ
With an uncanny power to mold the Godโs-honest-truth into casual, clever hooks โ plus a disarming charm that canโt be faked โ Moore makes the kind of country that never tries too hard but always hits just right. The 24-year-old talent possesses an instant-classic vocal and a no-pretense style, mixing modern sonic energy with timeless heart.
Growing up, Moore went on to take guitar and voice lessons instead of geometry, developing a rich, commanding baritone he mostly used at home. But everything changed in 2017, when the 16-year-old Moore met a rising star named Luke Combs. Offering sage advice, Combs encouraged Mooreโs relaxed-fit authenticity while preaching the make-it-happen gospel โฆ and the newcomer took it to heart. Moving to Nashville at 19, Moore spent the ensuing years honing a craft defined by sharp country hooks and warm, welcoming relatability, already earning cuts by Shane Profitt, Roman Alexander, Bryce Mauldin and more.
Moore, who was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, will release his new track โJohn Deere Blueโ tomorrow (Fri, May 16th). Co-written with Shane McAnally and Johnny Clawson, the waltz-twinged ballad was produced by Will Bundy.
Next up, the Florida native will join Hardy, Koe Wetzel, and Stephen Wilson Jr. on the road for the Jim Bob World Tour throughout the U.S., U.K., and Ireland.
