AXS TV celebrates “Surfin’ USA” with an All-American Fourth of July weekend The Beach Boys event, featuring three days of candid interviews, rare footage, classic concerts, and more, from Sunday, July 2nd through Tuesday, July 4th. The lineup is headlined by the premiere of the 1985 rock doc The Beach Boys: An American Band on July 3rd at 9 pm ET, and also includes Brian Wilson And Friends: Live From The Venetian, Mike Love on The Big Interview, and a pair of specials highlighting the band’s 50th Anniversary Tour, among many others.

The block kicks off on Sunday, July 2nd at 9 pm ET with the 2012 documentary The Beach Boys 50 – Doin’ It Again, capturing the band as they record their first album of new material in 20 years, embark on an emotional 50th anniversary reunion tour, and reflect on their extraordinary career; followed by an in-depth look at the band’s lasting legacy in the music profile Rock Legends: The Beach Boys at 10 pm ET. Next, at 10:30 pm ET, relive the magic of the Beach Boys’ 50th anniversary tour with The Beach Boys 50 – Live In Concert, as the rock n’ roll heroes take the stage in Phoenix, Arizona, to play 21 of their greatest hits including “Good Vibrations,” “California Girls,” and “Fun Fun Fun.” And, at 11:45 pm ET, music legends come together to honor an icon in the unprecedented concert event Brian Wilson And Friends: Live From The Venetian, featuring unforgettable performances by Wilson, Al Jardine, Blondie Chaplin, Ricky Fataar, Mark Isham, Sebu Simonian, and Nate Ruess.

The festivities continue on Monday, July 3rd at 8 pm ET, with an encore broadcast of The Beach Boys 50 – Doin’ It Again. Then, stay tuned for the premiere at 9 pm ET of the 1985 concert documentary The Beach Boys: An American Band, compiling intimate home and archived footage as well as clips of classic concerts and TV appearances, to tell the story of The Beach Boys from the band’s inception up to Dennis Wilson’s tragic death in 1983. And, at 11 pm ET, experience the highs and lows of the band’s road to rock superstardom in the 2000 miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family, which takes a personal look at the Wilson Family, and recreates some of the most defining moments in the Beach Boys’ incredible legacy.

The weekend comes to a close on Tuesday, July 4th, with an all-day marathon featuring Brian Wilson And Friends: Live From The Venetian at 2 pm ET, followed by The Beach Boys: An American Family at 3:25 pm ET and The Beach Boys 50 – Live In Concert at 6:35 pm ET. Then, Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love sits down with Dan Rather to discuss his run-in with Charles Manson, Transcendental Meditation, and the creative process behind some of the band’s biggest hits on The Big Interview at 7:50 pm ET. The night wraps up with encore broadcasts of The Beach Boys 50 – Doin’ It Again at 8:50 pm ET, followed by The Beach Boys: An American Band at 9:50 pm ET.
