OBB Media and Spotify present Billions Club Live with The Weeknd: A Concert Film, an exclusive 45-minute+ concert film capturing The Weeknd’s LA concert celebration of his record-breaking 25 songs with over a billion streams. The film will be available on Spotify and is the first live iteration of Billions Club: The Series.
Executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, Lana Womack, Glenn Stickley and Raquel Dominguez for OBB Pictures, Billions Club Live has grown out of the popular Billions Club: The Series, Spotify’s most prestigious program, encompassing the flagship playlist, artist plaques, a video series, and now, live concerts and long-form videos, which has included episodes with Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Cardi B, Lisa, and more. The series is produced by OBB Media.
The concert took place in Los Angeles on December 17th with over 1,700 of The Weeknd’s top Spotify fans in attendance. The Weeknd performed the majority of his songs in the Billions Club and a few new fan favorites from his upcoming album. The film includes special voiceover moments recorded specifically by The Weeknd. In them, he reflects on moments of transformation throughout his career and expresses gratitude for his global audience.
The unprecedented concert event, Spotify Presents Billions Club Live With The Weeknd honored The Weeknd’s historic accomplishment of having the most songs to hit one billion streams on the platform. His hit “Pray For Me” with Kendrick Lamar is the latest song to join the Billions Club, officially pushing him to the 25 mark.
The Weeknd also recently earned three new RIAA certifications with Starboy winning six-times platinum album, “Starboy” winning 15-times platinum song, and “I Feel It Coming” winning eight times platinum song.
