Steven Tyler to debut new country single ‘Love Is Your Name’ on ‘American Idol’ May 13th

The Aerosmith frontman is working on his first country CD

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler is set to premiere his debut country single “Love Is Your Name” on the May 13th edition of Fox’s American Idol (AI).

The singer made the announcement during Wednesday’s (April 29th) show.

Two hours beforehand, the singer teased the announcement on Twitter claiming “Big news coming tonight.”

Earlier this month, Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) confirmed Tyler’s singing after a flurry of rumors. Tyler was signed to BMLG’s Dot Records imprint and release the album sometime later this year. No word on the track listing, release date or cover art as of this writing, but more is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks leading up to Tyler’s American Idol performance.
