Summer Walker releases ‘Heart of a Woman’ remixes

The remixes come from Atlanta-based Ghanaian producer Nektunez and South African heavyweights DJ Maphorisa & Xduppy

Grammy-nominated R&B superstar Summer Walker has released two fresh remixes of her soulful new track โ€œHeart Of A Woman,โ€ ahead of her highly anticipated third studio album, Finally Over It, via LVRN/Interscope Records. The remixes come from Atlanta-based Ghanaian producer Nektunez and South African heavyweights DJ Maphorisa & Xduppy, each bringing a unique sound and international flavor to the record.

Nektunez brings an Afrohouse twist to the record, weaving in pulsing rhythms and soaring synths that transform the heartfelt anthem into a high-energy, club-ready anthem. With Afrohouse continuing to take over dance floors worldwide, his remix lands right on time for summer sets and festival stages.

On the second mix, DJ Maphorisa and Xduppy infuse the track with signature Amapiano elementsโ€”percussive log drums, smooth textures, and a laid-back groove that roots the song in South Africaโ€™s ever-evolving dance scene. As pioneers of the genreโ€™s global breakout, their remix bridges the worlds of Atlanta R&B and Johannesburg nightlife, cementing Summerโ€™s growing international appeal.

The new mixes arrive on the heels of a major announcement: Walker will be joining Chris Brown on his upcoming stadium world tour, Breezy Bowl XX, performing across Europe and the U.S. Sheโ€™ll open the tour alongside Bryson Tiller, making it one of the seasonโ€™s most anticipated R&B lineups. Sheโ€™s also slated to perform at Daisies Festival in South Africaโ€”a standout moment given the countryโ€™s deep ties to Afrohouse and Amapiano.

โ€œHeart Of A Womanโ€ explores the emotional complexity and frustration Summer is navigating in a relationship. The single is set to appear on the album, which will complete the trilogy that began with her breakout debut Over It from 2019 and continued with the chart-topping Still Over It in 2021.
