Superchunk announce new album, “I Hate Music” and tour dates


Superchunk announced today that their new album I Hate Music will be released on August 20th.  The announcement came via “album trailer,” which can be seen here:



The video contains clips of (presumably) songs from the album, along with what looks like a “making of” for a portion of the cover art. I Hate Music will be the band’s first album since 2010’s Majesty Shredding.

The band will also be heading out on tour to promote their new album, beginning in June with most of the dates in August:
