The previously unreleased track will appear on the forthcoming 77: Super Deluxe Edition
Rhino will release a new and extensive Talking Heads 77 (Super Deluxe Edition), capping off a celebratory season for the band, which recently commemorated the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking concert film Stop Making Sense. In celebration, the band has released “Pulled Up (Alternative Pop Version),” a previously released track that’ll appear on the multi-format project on November 8th.
Spread across nearly three hours of material, this Super Deluxe Edition features a new remaster of the original album. The expanded album also features a collection of rarities encompassing outtakes and previously unreleased alternate versions.
The expansive collection of Talking Heads: 77 is housed in a lift-off-lid box, including the 4 LPs — 1 LP of the remastered original album, 1 LP of rare and previously unreleased demos and outtakes, and 2 LP Live at CBGB, New York, NY, Oct. 10, 1977, only available in the vinyl box configuration. The seven-inch singles are set in a gatefold with a black and white image of the band and an immersive 80-page hardcover book comprising never-before-seen photos, fliers, artwork, and thoughtful liner notes personally penned by each member of the band –Tina Weymouth, David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, plus notes by recording engineer Ed Stasium.
