Taylor Swift announces ‘Lover’ album featuring four deluxe versions

Lover will be available August 23rd

Taylor Swift has announced that her seventh studio album, Lover, will be available August 23rd via Republic Records. The project will be available as a standard CD and in four deluxe editions via Target.

Each deluxe edition will include the Lover CD; two bonus audio memos from Swift’s songwriting sessions; a collection of exclusive content from Swift (varies by each version); poster (varies by each version); lined, blank journal pages and lyric book.

Swift made the announcement live on Instagram Thursday (June 13th). She explains the significance of the album’s release date.

“August is the eighth month of the year, and 23, two plus three, add it all together… equals I’m obnoxious,” Swift jokes. “If you want to remember, ‘Oh, it adds up to thirteen.'”

The album will feature 18 tracks, the most she’s included on a studio album. Her next single, “You Need To Calm Down” will be out at midnight ET tonight (June 14th). A new duet with Stella McCartney will also be featured along with “ME!,” the lead single featuring Panic at the Disco’s Brendon Urie.

Swift is also releasing a variety of new merchandise to correspond with the Lover. Shirts, a hat, pop socket and more are available via her online store.
