“ME!” becomes fastest video to reach 100 million views

On Sunday (Apr 28th), Vevo confirmed that Taylor Swift’s “ME!” had broken the record for most views in 24 hours. Vevo now confirms that “ME!” is now the fastest video to reach 100 million views on the platform.

The video for “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco eclipses records formerly set by Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” and Swift’s very own “Look What you Made Me Do.” This feat was managed in 79 hours following the release of the video on Friday, April 26th.

“Taylor has consistently demonstrated the ability to break records on Vevo,” states JP Evangelista, Vevo SVP of Content, Programing & Marketing. “She continues to expand upon a deep history of incredibly striking audio-visual work. Likewise, director Dave Meyers continues a storied career as one of the premier music video directors in our industry. On behalf of the Vevo family, we congratulate Taylor Swift & Republic Records on yet another historic accomplishment.”

“ME!” is the first single from Swift’s forthcoming seventh studio album, rumored to be released later this summer. It’s the first project under a multi-year agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG) to serve as the exclusive worldwide recorded music partner after leaving her longtime home at Big Machine Records last year. UMG’s Republic Records will serve as her new label partner in the U.S.

Swift has made a variety of “ME!” singles, featuring Panic at the Disco’s Brendon Urie, available on 7″ vinyl, 12″ LP, CD and digitally through midnight tonight (Wed, May 2nd), or while supplies last, via her webstore.
