Swift took home seven of the ten categories she was nominated
MTV has revealed the 2024 Video Music Awards (VMAs) winners. Taylor Swift commanded the night with seven wins out of the ten she was vying for, becoming the most-awarded artist in VMA history. Swift took home Artist of the Year, Best Pop, and Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Editing, and the social media-voted Song of the Summer for “Fortnite” with Post Malone.
“When I’d finish a take, and I’d say cut, and we’d be done with that take, I’d always just hear someone like cheering and like ‘whoo’ from across the studio,” she said during her Video of the Year acceptance speech. “And that one person was my boyfriend Travis. Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.”
After securing Best Hip-Hop and Best Visual Effects for “Houdini,” Eminem overtook for most solo male artists wins with 15.
Anitta tied the record for Best Latin wins with three after being awarded a Moon Man for “Mil Veces.”
