The 1975 announces extensive US headlining tour

The 1975 has announced details of its North American headline tour. Following their sold-out fall tour, the art-pop quartet from Manchester returns stateside this spring to play twenty-seven dates commencing April 17th at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The tour visits major North American cities before wrapping in June with more dates to be announced.

Pre-sale for the spring 2014 shows starts on Wednesday, November 20th at 10 am local time, exclusively through The 1975’s official website. Live favorite “You” will be available as a free download to anyone who signs up for the pre-sale. US fans will also have the option to purchase, for the first time in the US, the digital deluxe of The 1975’s self-titled release.

The 1975’s self-titled debut album topped the UK album charts. A love letter to youth, played out in bold and brash technicolor, The 1975’s eponymous debut album has cemented their status as the breakthrough band of the year.  The band has just been named an MTV Artist To Watch. Exclusive live performances and interviews will be available across MTV’s channels, websites and social networks.

Putting in countless miles on the road, The 1975 have seen crowds grow significantly through 2013. Fueled by word of mouth buzz, their live shows continue to thrill whilst consistently confounding expectations.
