Single impacts country radio on Sept 16th

The Mavericks return with a new spin on the 80’s country classic, “Swingin’,” originally made famous by John Anderson. Updating the song with their patented, churning groove, this new rendition will have you on your feet within the first few bars! Produced by Niko Bolas (Neil Young, Waterboys, Melissa Etheridge) and Raul Malo, lead singer and founder of The Mavericks, “Swingin’” is the first release from the band’s forthcoming new music this fall.

“I’ve loved this song since I first heard it way back when,” states Mavericks frontman Raul Malo. “I love the lyrics and I love John’s delivery. It’s a testament to the quality of the song that even after all this time it still resonates. And honestly, it’s a whole heck of a lot of fun to play!”

The multi-platinum, Grammy-winning, rock ’n’ roll-country-Tejano group are celebrating 30 years in 2019. This fall, the Miami-born band will perform a unique version of their renowned live show that has won over crowds internationally, including appearances at some of the finest venues in Europe, Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.

With special staging and a unique narrative, this anniversary show will re-imagine the group’s catalog, from their early days in Miami’s punk and alternative scene through their chart-topping years in the 90’s and 2000’s and right up to their reunion and creative rebirth. As well as telling story of the Mavericks, the shows will chart the many ways in which they have intertwined traditional Tex-Mex, Latino, Norteño and Tejano music with country, rock ’n’ roll and the great American songbook — a true American story of cross-cultural inspiration.
