‘The Queen Latifah Show’ debuts fall 2013

The series will air on CBS owned-and-operated stations

On September 16th, global entertainment icon Queen Latifah will premiere her new daytime talk-variety series The Queen Latifah Show. The hour-long show will showcase Latifah’s extraordinary range as a multi-award winning entertainer and her distinct ability to connect with people. The multi-topic, daily syndicated show will feature a mix of celebrity interviews, inspiring human-interest stories, musical performances and Queen Latifah’s unique – often comedic take – on pop culture.

The show will also feature Latifah’s genuine curiosity and desire to connect with everyday people which will take her on journeys outside her studio. She will venture into communities across the country to share compelling stories, celebrate exceptional individuals and deliver life-changing surprises.

Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere’s Flavor Unit, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and James Lassiter’s Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television are producing the show and have assembled a diverse team of top producers from late night, daytime, news and reality television: five-time Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer and show runner Corin Nelson (Chelsea Lately, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, The Nate Berkus Show) will lead the senior producing team including: Co-Executive Producer Todd Yasui (The Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show With Craig Kilborn, Rove LA) and Supervising Producers Jack Mori (The Oprah Winfrey Show), Catherine McKenzie (Good Morning America), David Harte (The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson) and Sierra Lindsey (MTV, Obama Campaign). The program will be taped in front of a live studio audience at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, and will air on CBS owned-and-operated channels.
