On May 21st, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release The Rolling Stones Crossfire Hurricane on Blu-ray and DVD as part of the group’s 50th anniversary celebration. Directed by Brett Morgen, the film tells the story of the Stones’ unparalleled journey from blues-obsessed teenagers in the 60’s to their legendary rock star status of today.
Each of the members have been newly interviewed that will be interlaced with archive footage of performances, news coverage and interviews. Much of the material has been previously unseen. The rock doc gives viewers an inside look at what it’s like to be a member as they overcome denunciation, drugs, dissensions and death.
The disc is packed with bonus material including its own cinema trailer, interview with the director and additional bonus performances from 1964 and 1965. They include “Not Fade Away,” “I Just Wanna Make Love To You” and “I’m All Right” from the NME Poll Winners Concert 1964, “Pain In My Heart” and “The Last Time” from the NME Poll Winners Concert 1965, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “I’m All Right” from Live In Germany 1965 and “I Wanna Be Your Man” and “You Better Move On” from the Arthur Haynes Show 1964.
