The White Stripes reissue ‘Elephant’ for Record Store Day

The album will be available in split-colored black, red and white

The White Stripes have been added to the list of artists participating in this year’s Record Store Day. Frontman Jack White announced that his label, Third Man Records, will release a tenth anniversary edition of their album Elephant on a special limited edition double vinyl set on April 20th. This release will feature an exclusive split-colored black and red vinyl on LP1 while LP2 will be all white.

NME also reports the album will be reissued on all black vinyl later in the year.

The set will come complete with “an MP3 download card, printed inner sleeves and is mastered direct from the original analog source,” while packaged in a double pocket gatefold. No artwork has been made available at press time.

Jack White has been named Ambassador for Record Store Day 2013 due to his love of vinyl.
