Book will be available at “Tina Turner Heritage Days”

TidalWave Comics is teaming up with West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center and Tina Turner Museum to announce a special edition of the Tina Turner comic book focused on women who make an impact around the world.

The exclusive edition “Female Force: Tina Turner” will be released at “Tina Turner Heritage Days” in Nutbush/Brownville, Tennessee on Friday, September 23rd.

The 22-page “Female Force: Tina Turner” is written by Michael Frizell and art by Ramon Salas.

The greatest comeback of all time is explored in this new comic book biography of the iconic and indomitable Tina Turner! Born Anna Mae Bullock, Turner started her life as a singer in her local church and elementary schools. Her ill-fated relationship with Ike Turner coincided with her meteoric rise-up the Billboard charts and led to her eventual fall. After retooling her image, Tina once again exploded on the scene in the 80s. Tina’s life story is rags to riches to rags and back again tale of love, loss, and rebirth.

“We are super excited to bring this special edition of the comic book to Tina Turner’s hometown. It is such an honor to also be part of the Tina Turner Museum,” states publisher Darren G. Davis.

“Tina Turner Heritage Days” is back, in person and ready to share the “Tina Love” one more time! Join fans from all over the world as they share their love for the Queen of Rock and explore her hometown. The special edition cover features art by Joe Phillips and a limited number of copies were produced for the event and available through their website.

“We are happy to be welcoming back our Tina fan family after two years of virtual programming and so excited to work with TidalWave Productions to offer a Special Edition Tina comic book that we will be showcasing during this year’s Tina Turner Heritage Days event, Sept. 23-25. I know Tina fans are going to love it and it’s a great addition to our celebration of the Queen of Rock.” Said West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center/ Tina Turner Museum Director Sonia Outlaw-Clark.

The “Female Force” imprint features prominent and influential authors, business executives, entertainers, journalists, politicians, and activists. The latest biography comic book joins TidalWave’s ever-growing library of more than 200 comic book biographies. Previous titles have profiled Dolly Parton, Tina Fey, Betty White, Barbra Streisand to Cher and Gloria Steinem.
