TMU Radio – Universal Studios Hollywood, Kelly Clarkson Show taping

We share video of our day trip

Last month, The Music Universe had the opportunity to spend the day at Universal Studios Hollywood where we visited the park and attended a taping of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Airing today (Tues, Nov 8th) in 211 markets nationwide, the three-hour taping we saw included an extended interview with NFL legend Terry Bradshaw.

Bradshaw opened up about his battle with cancer, why he kept it quiet and says he’s cancer free. He also shared the secrets to his successful second act: as a singer who entertains in both Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri. Later on, Bradshaw and Clarkson made some burgers and shared some of the footballer’s whiskey.

For “Kellyoke,” Clarkson selected the sentimental Cody Johnson earworm, “‘Til You Can’t.” After a prolonged break where we could hear her last-minute rehearsals backstage, the incredibly versatile vocalist tore it up in one take, before promptly leaving the soundstage.

If you’re planning a trip to Hollywood, make sure to catch a taping. The show has been renewed for two more seasons so there are plenty of chances to catch all of the behind-the-scenes action. Head over to 1iota to request free tickets.

Before the taping, we explored the Universal Studios Hollywood, a leading global entertainment destination that includes a full-day, movie-based theme park and Studio Tour and adjacent Universal CityWalk entertainment promenade.

In this episode, we take you inside the park where we hopped on Jurassic World – The Ride, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride, and visited Springfield and The Studio Tour. While we couldn’t film on the majority of the rides, we include footage from Secret Life of Pets and The Studio Tour that navigates the 415-acre movie studio complex where The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Voice, Ted and others film.

The day was capped with an awesome experience at The Kelly Clarkson Show taping on the lower lot.

Thank you to NBCUniversal and the Kelly Clarkson Show team for having us out.
