Sammy Hagar, Mel Tillis and John Anderson have been added to Toby Keith’s Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert set for July 6th in Norman, OK. They will join the previously announced lineup of Keith, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Trisha Yearwood and Willie Nelson.
Sammy Hagar is no stranger to country music and says he had no choice but to perform.
“When Toby asked me to come on board, I immediately said ‘Yes!’” the Red singer states. “He’s put together a hell of a concert lineup to help raise funds for the brave and resilient people of Oklahoma. My job is going to be to help them take their minds off their problems and have some much needed, good old-fashioned fun.”
Ford Trucks, Verizon, Walmart, and Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives have all signed on as sponsors for the all-star event. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund to aid recovery efforts for those affected by the recent deadly storms in Moore, OK.
The concert is Saturday, July 6th at 3 pm at the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 21st at 10 am CST with all seats $25 through Ticketmaster. All seats are all inclusive and reserved. There is an eight-ticket purchase limit.
