Group will make return in 2023

Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has officially launched their new album series: The Name Chapter. Gen Z’s “it” band dropped the official concept trailer through official social media channels on December 2nd. The new chapter follows previous storylines through The Dream Chapter and The Chaos Chapter to portray youth in the face of temptation.

The newly released video depicts a fantastical and artistic performance by the five members — Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.

In the trailer, the K-pop superstars fall into a blue and mysterious space. A figure in the form of a devil emerges and kisses the glass in his hand. As fire erupts, the members soar into the sky. They are then transported into a dark space where they come face-to-face with beings who look identical to themselves.

Towards the end of the clip, the five members seem to wake from their dreams back into reality. However, the room they reside in has been rooted from the ground, hovering high into the sky and tilting steeply. After various efforts to hold onto the space they know, the boys finally decide to leap into the outside world of their own will.

The Name Chapter concept trailer utilizes projection mapping techniques, holograms over sharks tooth scrim screens, and robotic arm cameras (MCC) among other various visual techniques.

The group’s fifth EP will drop in January 2023. The comeback marks a new beginning after a nine month long break since the quintet’s fourth EP Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child. The project saw the K-pop superstars achieve a career high by remaining on Billboard 200 for 14 consecutive weeks.

TXT recently made appearances on six categories on Billboard’s 2022 Year-End charts including the Billboard 200. In November, the band received their first MTV European Music Awards for Best Asia Act. They also received an American Music Awards nomination for Favorite K-Pop Artist, proving their prominence as K-pop’s fourth generation leaders.

The group made history over the summer as the first K-pop group to perform at Lollapalooza. TXT thrilled the crowd with their never-before-seen epic live band performances with their powerful vocals fusing seamlessly.

They also launched their first-ever world tour in July, selling out eight shows across seven cities in the United States.
