Southern California native singer/songwriter/producer Tori Kelly has announced that she will release a five song EP on October 22nd entitled Foreword. The first song from the set, “Dear No One,” begins streaming today (Sept17th) on at ToriKellyMusic.com.
Kelly will kick off a North American tour on October 28th at The Fonda in Los Angeles with stops in San Francisco, Denver, Austin, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston and New York. A limited number of tickets are available now with the official on sale happening Friday, September 20th through Sunday, September 22nd.
“I decided to name this EP Foreword because to me it is an introduction to something bigger that is coming in the future,” says Kelly. “And at the same time, it also represents that I’m moving forward with my life and with my sound.”
A special pre-order of Foreword will begin on September 24th. Each pre-order purchase will include an immediate download of the first song from the EP, “Dear No One.” Foreword was written, recorded and produced by Kelly and is the follow up to her 2012 EP Handmade Songs by Tori Kelly, which she also wrote, recorded and produced on her own.
Handmade Songs debuted at #6 on Soundscan’s New Artist Chart, #9 on Billboard Heatseekers and in the top ten on the iTunes pop charts. The EP and the videos that followed quickly became viral sensations and helped Kelly gain more than 50 million views and 600 thousand subscribers on YouTube.
