Train releases ‘Cleopatra’ with Sofia Reyes

Song is latest from forthcoming AM Gold album

Two days from their highly-anticipated 11th studio album, Train debuts their new single “Cleopatra” featuring Mexican singer-songwriter Sofía Reyes. “Cleopatra” intertwines the duo’s captivating vocals over a sultry, rhythmic beat that blends Train’s instantly recognizable rock sound with soothing Latin pop. The genre-defying track is the latest release off Train’s forthcoming album, AM Gold, available this Friday, May 20th via Columbia Records. An accompanying music video is soon to follow.

“‘What began as a simple conversation, ended in love’ was something Mark Antony said and that’s what happened with me and this song ‘Cleopatra.’ And then Sofía Reyes came in and made it that much better. We hope that you love this one like we do so we can all sing it together this summer!” Train frontman Pat Monahan shares.

“It’s an HONOR for me to share a song with Train,” adds Reyes. “They are legends and the fact that they chose me for this song is unbelievable. Very grateful!! It’s a fun one, I have a good feeling about it!”

The track follows a string of recent releases from the hitmakers including the band’s first single and title track “AM Gold,” which was met with both fan and critical acclaim upon release earlier this year, and its Tobtok remix featuring Spice Girls icon Melanie C, as well as “Running Back (Trying to Talk to You),” and most recently, “Turn The Radio Up” featuring 2022 summer tourmate Jewel.

“Cleopatra” will make its live debut at Train’s iHeartRadio Album Release Party presented by Capital One on May 19th at 7 pm PT at the iHeartRadio Theater in LA. To celebrate the release of Train’s new album, the event will feature a special performance and intimate interview hosted by iHeartRadio’s Valentine that will stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and broadcast across iHeartRadio’s HOT AC and select AC stations nationwide.

This summer, Train is hitting the road with Jewel and Blues Traveler on their Train – AM Gold Tour presented by Save Me San Francisco Wine Co. The trek kicks off June 8th in Mansfield, MA and will make 35+ stops across North America before concluding on August 6th at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
