Travis Japan cooks up some fun with ‘Would You Like One?’

The group shares the theme from a forthcoming animated film

Japanese septet Travis Japan cooks up some fun in their newest single โ€œWould You Like One?,โ€ available now via Capitol Records/Universal Music Japan. Catchy, infectious, and bursting with energy, the track blends surf-rock swagger with a dance-ready beat, seasoned with the playful, unmistakable humor that defines the best of Travis Japan and J-pop as a genre. Like a musical picnic, itโ€™s irresistibly fun and deliciously unpredictable.

The track serves as the theme song to the highly anticipated animated film Dream Animals The Movie, starring member Genta “G” Matsuda as the voice of the lead Lion.

The seven member boy band features Kaito “Chaka” Miyachika, Kaito “Umi” Nakamura, Ryuya “Shime” Shimekake, Noel Kawashima, Shizuya “Shizu” Yoshizawa, Genta “G” Matsuda, and Kaito “Machu” Matsukura.

Formed in 2012, their name honors Travis Payne, who was impressed by their skills during the Playzone theater series and worked with them early in their career. They are recognized as Starto Entertainment’s first group to make a global debut.

They gained international attention by competing in Season 17 of America’s Got Talent in 2022, reaching the semifinals. They also appeared in the spin-off America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League in early 2024 before signing with Capitol Records/Universal Music Japan.

They are currently embarking on their Travis Japan World Tour 2025 VIIsual, with dates in North America scheduled for July and September 2025, including a show in New York City on July 25th.

They have their own variety show called “Travis Japan no JUST! Shin Nihon Isan” (Travis Japan’s JUST! New Japan Heritage), where two members explore lesser-known Japanese treasures each week. Another show, “Travis Japan’s Variety da ze!!” airs on Chukyo TV.
