Company teams with A24 Film Studio
Travis Scott has announced that Cactus Jack Films has signed a production deal with A24 Film Studio to partner on film projects. This announcement comes ahead of his new album Utopia in which Variety reports a “special project” will launch to align with its release.
Scott recently premiered a new song at the Rolling Loud Miami festival in July with a QR code projected into the sky via drones leading to a pre-save link. As of press time, no release date has been shared for either the song, its album nor the related film.
Utopia is the follow up to his double-platinum history-making 2018 No. 1 opus, ASTROWORLD. In October 2019, the rapper followed the album with “Highest In The Room,” his first No. 1 debut and second No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. He’s since released a variety of tracks, including collaborations with Kid Cudi and HVME, with both “The Scotts” with Cudi and “Goosebumps” with HVME landing int he No. 1 positions on a multiple charts.
In April, Scott announced the return of his annual Astroworld Festival for Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The third annual music festival is expanding to two days this year due to overwhelming demand as well as rave reviews around the festival’s incredibly curated lineup personally selected by Scott, and an experience that fans have now come to expect from his one-of-a-kind music festival. The event sold out in under an hour with over 100,000 total guests scheduled to attend the weekend event this fall.
Last week, the rapper revealed the Air Jordan 1 High OG Travis Scott for Fragment signature crafted, iconic high-heat collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara. In addition, Cactus Jack has released a 19-piece exclusive collaboration with Fragment by Hiroshi Fujiwara featuring two separate collaborations.
Scott has also teamed with Dior for a 2022 summer men’s collection called Cactus Jack Dior, drawing its name from Scott’s Cactus Jack Records label. The collection explores the identities of a groundbreaking modern musician and the heritage of one of the leading Parisian couture houses.
