Trent Reznor tweets CBS explicit message for cutting off performance

The show ran 15 minutes over its allotted time

In true rock and roll fashion, Nine Inch Nails’ frontman Trent Reznor tweeted out an explicit message to CBS for cutting off his Grammy performance last (Sun) night.

CBS cut off an all star finale performance featuring Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age, Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Dave Grohl before it finished. The show ran 15 minutes over its allotted 11:30 pm end time, actually going to a break at 11:30 and then coming back for one more award and the finale performance before getting the ax at 11:45 pm.

Reznor took to Twitter shortly thereafter to express his unhappiness.

“Music’s biggest night… to be disrespected. A heartfelt FUCK YOU guys.”

The group performed NIN’s “Copy of A” and much of QOTSA’s “My God Is the Sun” before being interrupted with network ads and credits over the audio. Reporters in attendance claim the set ended shortly after the telecast wrapped, perhaps unbeknownst to Reznor.
