Yearwood previewed the new project at an intimate Blue Bird Cafe show in Nashville
Trisha Yearwood has announced her next album, described as a “songwriter album,” is slated for sometime this year. In a first, the country superstar co-penned each of the album’s ten tracks, and co-produced it with audio engineer/producer/writer/musician Chad Carlson.
The set includes “Put It In a Song,” which she released last year and performed during the 2024 CMT Music Awards. She’ll premiere “The Wall or the Way Over” during a February 21st appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. A press release says the song’s lyrics deal with an important question when in a relationship — “Will you be an obstacle in someone’s journey, or will you encourage them to rise?”
Yearwood previewed the untitled project at an intimate show at Nashville’s Blue Bird Cafe last night (Wed, Feb 12th), where she was joined by writers Carlson, Erin Enderlin, Leslie Satcher, Sunny Sweeney and Bridgette Tatum.
Yearwood will support the project with a seven-city tour, starting on April 30th in Austin, Texas. Additional stops include San Antonio; Grand Prairie, Texas; Stillwater, Oklahoma; New York City, Glenside, Pennsylvania; and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
“Iโm so excited to share BIG news with you!” she shares. “This spring, Iโm hitting the road for a special seven-city tour celebrating my upcoming new album. Iโll be sharing stories, and songs Iโve written with you.”
Tickets go on sale February 21st with an exclusive pre-sale starting February 19th.
Yearwood is among the all-star lineup for NBC’sย Opry 100: A Live Celebration on March 19th. Hosted by Blake Shelton, the three-hour live celebration will feature performances from some of country musicโs most acclaimed artists, including Opry members Yearwood, Shelton, Ashley McBryde, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Clint Black, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Marty Stuart, Reba McEntire, Trace Adkins, Vince Gill, and a special appearance from Randy Travis, as well as some of the Opryโs fan favorites, including Amy Grant, Eric Church, Jelly Roll and The War and Treaty.
