“Moonlight Sunrise” earns the group’s second career Billboard Hot 100 entry

Twice has announced their new mini album, Ready To Be, which will be available via all digital and streaming platforms on Friday, March 10th. Further album details are forthcoming. Per usual, multiple physical variations will also be available via JYP Entertainment/Republic Records.

It was also announced this week that the K-pop superstars will be honored at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards with the Breakthrough Award. They are the first K-pop act to be honored at this ceremony.

These announcements follow the successful pre-release of Ready To Be track “Moonlight Sunrise” on January 20th, which debuted at No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100. Twice also earned career high-placements on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart at No. 3 and both Spotify’s US Chart at No. 39 and Global Chart at No. 60. Further, the track’s music video achieved 32 million views in just three days and was the #1 Global Trend on YouTube.

“Moonlight Sunrise” is the group’s second full English-language single, following the massive success of 2021’s smash hit “The Feels,” which marked the K-Pop powerhouses’ first career entry on The Billboard Hot 100 at No. 83 and earned the group multiple top 10 placements across various charts. “The Feels” also earned Twice their first US Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The all-female group is heading into the new year strong, following what was a massive, record-breaking 2022. Last year, the group was the most-streamed female K-Pop group on Spotify in the US, and they are also the longest-charting female K-Pop act on Spotify’s US Daily Top Artist chart. Last year alone, they accumulated nearly 300 million steams with cumulative streams of over 5.5 billion, to date. They were also nominated for three major music awards in 2022 – an MTV Video Music Award for Best K-Pop, an American Music Award for Favorite K-Pop Artist, and an MTV Europe Music Award for Best K-Pop.
