Viral streamer Tyler Booth drops the official video for his latest single, “Talkin’ White Trash,” available now on all platforms. Inspired by his own small town upbringing, the playful visual, which was shot by Ozone Media Group, finds Booth dancing between the contrasting lifestyles of backwoods simplicity and wealthy excess. “Talkin’ White Trash” also made its exclusive network premiere Friday night with The Heartland Network and is streaming on Heartland’s It’s Real Good TV app.
“I wrote ‘Talkin’ White Trash’ about where I grew up and the people I grew up around. Hardworking, God-fearing people,” Booth states of the song. “I’m hoping there’s still enough of those out there that understand the message and the sentiment of this song.”
“Talkin’ White Trash” is the first single release from Booth’s upcoming project, out this summer. The collection of songs will see the Bluegrass State native’s return to a more organic, authentic sound, drawing inspiration from other Kentucky names like Keith Whitley, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Tyler Childers.
“I wanted to bring it back a bit more grassroots. Bring it back a bit more to where I began. There’s not a ton of production on this project – two songs are just me and a guitar. There’s some bluegrass, there’s mandolin, flat pickin’. I wanted to bring a bluegrass element, some blues, and a bit of rock,” he says.
Booth shot to social stardom with past releases like “Palomino Princess,” “Already Got One,” and “Hank Crankin’ People,” earning over 100 million collective streams, and over one million social media fans.
