Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of The Joshua Tree, U2 has announced several special edition box sets. Available June 2nd, The Super Deluxe Editions will feature three and half hours of music, 25 unreleased tracks including seven new mixes and one archived track, live tracks and more. Each set will be housed in a bespoke boxset with a cover that features a textured embossed gold foiled Joshua Tree icon.

A live recording of The Joshua Tree Tour from Madison Square Gardens in 1987, b-sides from the original singles and new remixes from Daniel Lanois, St Francis Hotel, Jacknife Lee, Steve Lillywhite and Flood form part of this special edition of The Joshua Tree.

The sets will also feature an 84-page hardback book of unseen personal photography shot by The Edge during the original Mojave Desert photo session in 1986. “When I see the people we were back then,” writes Edge, in his introduction. “I see a bunch of pilgrims on a journey towards some kind of creative home. I think that really does capture the spirit of the band at that time.”

The box sets will coincide with The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 that opens in Vancouver on May 12th, kicking off a run of stadium dates across North America and Europe, including U2’s first ever U.S. festival headline appearance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival this summer.
