U2 finished opening night of The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour in Vancouver with a new, unreleased song. “The Little Things That Give You Away” is expected to appear on the band’s upcoming Songs Of Experience album, due sometime this year. The album will be the follow up to 2014’s Songs Of Innocence.

The band may have also revealed the album’s cover after the performance. @U2 reports that an image of Bono’s son Eli holding hands with Edge’s daughter, Sian, who is wearing a war helmet, appeared on the large screen behind them. They are suspecting this is the album’s artwork, but no official confirmation yet.

U2 kicked off their 22 song set with early political favorites, “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “New Year’s Day,” “A Sort Of Homecoming,” “MLK” and “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” before launching into the iconic The Joshua Tree album in its entirety for the first time ever. The encore consisted of “Beautiful Day,” “Elevation,” “Ultra Violet (Light My Way),” “One” and “Miss Sarajevo” before wrapping with “Little Things.”

The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 1987 iconic album that made the group international superstars. Each show will include a performance of The Joshua Tree in its entirety, with support from one of a number of special guests including Mumford & Sons, OneRepublic and The Lumineers in North America and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Europe. The band also announced its first ever US festival appearance at Bonnaroo.

More than a million tickets were sold within 24 hours when tickets went on sale in January. The tour’s entire UK/Europe stadium run sold out in one day with performances in Los Angeles, Seattle, Santa Clara, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, Washington, Boston, E. Rutherford, Cleveland, Vancouver, and Toronto also selling out. This prompted additional dates in Los Angeles, E. Rutherford and Chicago.

U2 has announced several special edition 30th anniversary box sets that will be released on June 2nd. The Super Deluxe Editions will feature three and half hours of music, 25 unreleased tracks including seven new mixes and one archived track, live tracks and more. Each set will be housed in a bespoke box set with a cover that features a textured embossed gold foiled Joshua Tree icon.

This weekend, more than 100 radio stations across North America will air U2: The Joshua Tree Special. Hosted by MTV Personality/acclaimed host Matt Pinfield, the two hour special goes inside the making of the album, the upcoming anniversary editions, the tour and more with interviews from the band.

And if that’s not enough, paid U2.com subscribers will receive The Joshua Tree Singles Vinyl Collection: 1987 & 2017 as their yearly gift for 2017. The unique limited edition collection will feature four 10″ vinyl records, each containing the remastered original studio track on side A and a live performance of the same track from this year’s summer tour on side B. The tracks are “With Or Without You,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” “Where The Streets Have No Name” and “In God’s Country.”
