U2 releases ‘Ordinary Love’ lyric video

The song appears on the Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom soundtrack

U2 has released a lyric video for their latest single “Ordinary Love” on Thursday. The video first debuted for paying U2.com subscribers before being publicly released via the band’s Facebook page Thursday afternoon.

The song is from the Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom film and soundtrack. The single will also be released as a 10″ vinyl single with “Breathe (Mandela Version)” on November 29th for Record Store Day’s Back to Black Friday promotion.

Bono’s best friend Dave Fanning tells the UK’s Independent that the song may or may not be on the band’s upcoming studio album, tentatively set for release in April 2014.

“This particular version of this song will not appear on the album, whether another version does or not, remains to be seen as they’re still finishing things off.”

We are unable to embed the video, so head over U2’s Facebook page to view it.
