U2 tops Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart

Several remixes of “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way” top the chart

U2 has topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart with remixes of “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way.”

New versions of the track – the third single from current album Songs of Experience (Interscope) – by Beck, Cheat Codes, Will Clarke, The Funk Hunters and Daybreakers have combined to see the song take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart.

This is the fourth time the band have topped the chart, most recently with “Beautiful Day” in 2001 as well as “Discothèque” in 1997 and “Lemon” in 1993.

The group has also released a three-track EP titled, Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way (HP Hoeger Rusty Egan Remixes).

Earlier this week U2 fans Scott Aukerman and Adam Scott of U Talkin’ U2 To Me? released part 1 in a two part series discussing the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour featuring special guests Andy Daly and Phoebe Robinson. Tuesday’s episode, part 2, will feature Adam and Scott’s interview with the U2. Download wherever you get your podcasts.

U2’s groundbreaking eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour hits Europe this fall, kicking off in Berlin on August 31st with dates in Manchester (October 19th and 20th) and London (October 23rd & 24th), ahead of four hometown shows in Dublin in November.
