Underbrook announces debut single

The new pop punk band led by Chris Comstock (aka Marshmello) debuts with anthemic first single and music video

Underbrook, the new pop-punk band fronted by vocalist, songwriter and producer Chris Comstock, will release their debut single “Heads Up,” alongside an official music video. Blending emotionally charged lyrics, melodic aggression, and razor-sharp production, “Heads Up” introduces Underbrook as a bold new voice in the pop punk and alt-rock scenes.

The band’s lineup brings together a dynamic group of creatives from across rock and alternative music, featuring Comstock on lead vocals, bassist Hayden Tree (lead singer; Crown the Empire), guitarist Josh Strock (writer and producer; Motionless In White, Fever 333, Machine Gun Kelly), guitarist Danny Couture (writer and producer; Bring Me The Horizon, 24kGoldn, Marshmello), guitarist Jake Torrey (writer and producer; Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, Yungblud) and drummer James Brownstein.

“This isn’t a nostalgia play — this is who I’ve always been at my core. Underbrook is about channeling the emotions and chaos that shaped me, and giving them a voice through the music that first made me feel understood. ‘Heads Up’ is just the beginning,” Comstock says. “I’d say everyone from New Found Glory to The Story So Far to Two Door Cinema Club and The Strokes. We all listen to a wide range of music, but we can all agree that we love those bands. That DNA definitely made its way into Underbrook.”

Set against the backdrop of pop punk’s new wave, Underbrook arrives with the kind of authenticity and creative fire that earns respect in the scene. Together, the band captures the chaos and catharsis so synonymous with the genre in “Heads Up” through cutting composition and emotional songwriting. Underbrook isn’t a side project for its six members, it’s a full-scale band with its own identity and mission.

Directed by Justice Silvera, the “Heads Up” music video brings Underbrook’s debut to life. Set in a stripped-down rehearsal room, the video features all six band members slowly beginning to show signs of distress: heads pounding, bodies tense…until their heads explode.
