The film is a biopic about the 90s female rap group

VH1 has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story biopic about the ’90s female rap group. The two minute teaser highlights some behind the scenes moments along with the making of their music videos like “Waterfalls”. It also features some spot on reenactments of the trio’s most painstaking moments. The film, which premiers on VH1 on October 22nd, stars Keke Palmer as Chilli, Lil Mama as Left Eye, and Drew Sidora as T-Boz.

The two surviving members of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, also announced on Thursday (July 25th) that they’ve resigned with LA Reid and Epic Records to release a Greatest Hits album on October 15th. The record will feature new songs written by Lady Gaga and Ne-Yo with contributions from Drake and J. Cole. Reid originally signed the trio to LaFace in 1991.
