Neil hopes to return in 2024

Vince Neil has canceled an appearance at this weekend’s RokIsland Fest January 17-21 in Key West, Florida after being diagnosed with COVID-19. The rocker assures fans he’s okay, but he’s not able to perform.

“I am sad to report that yesterday I was diagnosed with COVID. I am okay but this thing is really kickin’ my ass. All that being said, I am unable to perform at RokIsland Fest next week. I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the RokIsland Fest organizers and most of all my friends and fans. I am disappointed to say the least. I was so looking forward to this show,” Neil shares.

“I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to make this up in 2024. In closing, I wish all the attendees of RokIsland Fest 2023 a fun and exciting time with all the other amazing acts.”

Slaughter and Lynch Mob have replaced Neil and Norwegian rockers Wig Wam this year. It’s unclear why Wig Wam is no longer performing.

Next month, Neil reunites with his Mötley Crüe bandmates for The World Tour with Def Leppard. Hot off the heels of the biggest North American stadium tour of 2022 with more than 1.3 million tickets sold, the world’s most iconic and celebrated rock legends will reconvene with two special nights in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10-11 before embarking on international dates with Alice Cooper. The trek will revisit the US in August with stops in Syracuse, Columbus, Fargo, Omaha, Tulsa, and El Paso.

These mark the first shows ever with new Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5 who’s replacing Mick Mars after retiring from the road due to his health.
