Latin star will perform during world tour

Global superstar Bad Bunny will make his highly anticipated VMAs return in epic fashion, with an exclusive “made for VMAs” performance with never-before-seen choreography, as MTV goes live from Yankee Stadium as part of Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour when the 2022 show airs Sunday, August 28th at 8 pm ET/PT.

This marks the Puerto Rican phenom’s first VMAs appearance since 2019, where he made a memorable debut performance of “Que Pretendes” with J Balvin. He scored his first Moon Person in 2018 for “Song of the Summer.”

The 9x nominee is up for two major categories this year (“Artist of the Year” and “Best Latin”) and two social categories (“Album of the Year” and “Song of the Summer”); a win for “Artist of the Year” would be history-making and crown him the first-ever non-English language artist to take home a Moon Person in the category.

This marks MTV’s first-ever live remote VMAs performance to air from Yankee Stadium.

LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow are set to anchor the 2022 VMAs, introducing the night’s biggest moments and star-studded lineup of performers, presenters and winners.

Anitta, Blackpink, J Balvin, Jack Harlow, Lizzo, Måneskin, Marshmello x Khalid, Nicki Minaj, Panic! At The Disco and Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the can’t-miss performers set to take the iconic MTV stage. Kane Brown makes his VMAs debut as he takes the the Toyota Stage.
