Walker Montgomery drops ‘Nothing Like You Nowhere’

The song reflects on his engagement to Tigirlily Gold’s Krista Slabaugh

A self-professed romantic at heart, Walker Montgomeryโ€™s latest single โ€œNothing Like You Nowhere,” written by Mitch Oglesby and Phil Oโ€™Donnell,โ€ is right in the wheelhouse for the country crooner, whose rich vocals and warm delivery shine through on the heartfelt new country ballad.

In the sweetly sincere tune, he muses on all the wonders heโ€™s seen, from the mist on the Smokies to sunsets in Santa Rosa and back again, realizing that nothing is quite as breathtaking or awe-inspiring as the wonder of his true love, who wows him beyond compare. The song no doubt hits home for Montgomery, who just got engaged to his true love, Krista Slabaugh from Tigirlily Gold and is looking forward to a lifetime of those moments with her as they embark on their new life together.

Montgomery knows a thing or two about family tradition, but is also striving to build his own legacy. The son of John Michael Montgomery and nephew of Montgomery Gentryโ€™s Eddie Montgomery was raised away from the spotlight in Nicholasville, Kentucky, but moved to Nashville and is carving a path all his own on todayโ€™s country scene.

Walker made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2023 and his pedigree is matched only by his passion for real country music, and heโ€™s already put his classically-inspired, honey-bourbon vocal to use on a self-penned debut hit (โ€œSimple Town,โ€ over 5.2 million Spotify streams). His romantic power-ballad, โ€œShe Donโ€™t Know,โ€ (featured on the 2022 Rust EP) has garnered the new artist over 20 million streams worldwide, in addition to his other story-building singles, the high-energy โ€œOut of Nowhereโ€ and good-time filled โ€œBad Day To Be A Beer.โ€

Walker has previously released singles from his EP Work to Do, the title track, โ€œLonely for A Livin,โ€™โ€ โ€œTired of You” and “Never Again One More Time,โ€ as well as a collaboration of “Never Again One More Time,โ€ with Randy Rogers. Walkerโ€™s version of his father’s 90s hit, โ€œI Love The Way You Love Me,โ€ has garnered more than 40 million views on TikTok.
