The Weeknd plots massive 2022 world tour

First world tour announced for 2022 includes extended outing in North America and Europe

The Weeknd has announced his return to the road with a massive 104-date global tour in 2022. The trek will kick off on January 14th in Vancouver at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena with stops in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, Berlin and more, before wrapping November 16th in London at The O2.

The worldwide tour announcement comes just days ahead of the multi-platinum singer’s headlining Super Bowl performance, and also includes a handful of rescheduled dates shifting from 2021 to be a part of the After Hours World Tour in 2022.

Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale beginning Monday, February 8th at 10 am local time at The Weeknd’s website. Tickets are on sale now for the rescheduled dates. All previously purchased tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates listed below.

The Weeknd’s partnership with Verizon continues with the announcement of this tour. Members of the Verizon customer loyalty program, VerizonUp, will receive access to this tour in North America only. Tickets will be available in the MyVerizon app closer to the date of each event.

With the addition of 39 new tour dates, The Weeknd will also release The Highlights on Friday, February 5th. The Highlights is a way to present some of The Weeknd’s most notable works in one place. While this isn’t a “Greatest Hits” album it does provide a new listener a rich foray into some of the iconic artist’s best and favorite work.

Over a year after its release, “Blinding Lights” hits a record breaking 47th week in the Top 10 and 38th week in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
