Willie Nelson postpones three Bakersfield shows due to illness

Nelson was set to perform at Buck Owen’s Crystal Palace

Willie Nelson has postponed all three Bakersfield shows set for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb 6th, 7th & 8th) at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace due to an “undisclosed illness.” The shows have been reported as canceled, but promoters are planning on rescheduling three night residency.

Crystal Palace Talent Buyer Jerry Hufford says that efforts are underway to arrange alternate dates as early as Monday (Feb 6th), but refunds can be claimed at point of purchase beginning Wednesday (Feb 8th).

Late last year, a single show was announced at the famous venue, but demand forced two more shows which sold out quickly.

“Every single ticket was sold out,” Hufford tells Bakersfield.com.

These aren’t the first shows the 83 year old Nelson has postponed recently. In November, he postponed two shows in Lubbock and Midland, TX due to illness. He also postponed two shows at the Venetian in Las Vegas at the end of January, but did perform February 1st, 3rd and 4th. His next scheduled performance in Sahuarita, AZ on February 10th has been removed from his tour schedule, but no official cancellation has been announced as of press time. No new dates are scheduled until March 4th in Pompano Beach, FL.
