X Ambassadors announce VHS(X) North American headlining tour

The group is set to release a reimagined VHS(X) in August

X Ambassadors have announced The VHS(X) Tour, a North American headlining run celebrating the tenth anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album VHS. The tour includes stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and more, including two previously announced shows in the bandโ€™s hometown of Ithaca.

Tickets and VIP packages for the hometown shows are on sale now, with presale for all remaining dates available this week via artist presale. General on sale will begin this Friday, May 16th.

X Ambassadors will release VHS(X), a reimagined version of their debut album this summer. The newly updated package sees the band reworking hit songs like โ€œUnsteadyโ€ and break-out single โ€œRenegades,โ€ showcasing a decade of success, growth and evolution.

X Ambassadors are a multi-platinum trio formed by Grammy award winning song-writer Sam Nelson Harris (vocals, guitar, saxophone, bass) and brother Casey Harris (piano, keys) while the pair were in high school in Ithaca, New York. Later joined by Adam Levin (drums) upon moving to Brooklyn, the trio have gone on to dominate the alternative charts over the last decade.

Forming in 2009, the band exploded with the success of their debut album, VHS in 2015. The platinum-certified album provides an intimate look into the childhood of Sam and Casey, and features massive hit singles โ€œUnsteadyโ€ and โ€œRenegades,โ€ which have over 1.6 billion streams on Spotify combined and led the band to a three-year world tour. VHS was followed by Orion in 2019, the Belong EP in 2020, The Beautiful Liar in 2021, and (Eg) in 2023, a series of collaborative singles featuring artists such as Breland, Teddy Swims & Jac Ross, Medium Build, and Pamรฉ.

In 2023 the band unveiled a new song, โ€œDeep End,โ€ which was written for and featured in the much-anticipated movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The track is just the latest contribution the band has made to major films following โ€œTorchesโ€ for Transformers, โ€œGreat Unknownโ€ for The Call of the Wild, and โ€œSucker for Painโ€ from Suicide Squad,ย among others.

X Ambassadors returned last year with their new album Townie โ€” an album that marks a compelling new chapter for the band as they return to their upstate New York roots. Across 12 deeply personal tracks, the group crafts an intricate portrait of their hometownโ€™s most mundane aspects and the community that shaped them.
