The band will perform in Mexico & Brazil during its 1st World Tour The First Howl
Hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG has announced that they will perform Latin American shows in Mexico and Brazil this April as part of their world tour, XG 1st World Tour The First Howl. The newly announced Latin American tour dates will see XG performing in São Paulo, Brazil, on April 24th and in Mexico City, Mexico, on April 27th, marking their first-ever concerts in the region.
XG’s first world tour kicked off in May last year with performances in Japan and has since traveled to 26 cities worldwide, delivering 29 shows and drawing a total audience of approximately 200,000 across Asia, North America, the UK, and Europe.
This year, in addition to additional Japan shows in Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka, XG had announced performances in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne) in February and additional shows in China (Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu) in March.
On January 31st, XG also released their latest project, “XDM Unidentified Waves.”
Under the direction of XGALX’s representative and executive producer Jakops, this release reimagines XG’s hit songs in unexpected genres such as Jersey Club, Big Room, Future House, Trance, Piano House, and Hard Rock, breaking new ground in music. The album has ranked on Apple Music’s Top Songs charts in 15 countries and regions, including Japan at No.1, and also secured the No.1 spot on iTunes’ Dance charts in the U.S., Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
Themes such as “wolves,” “space,” “cells,” “expansion,” “evolution,” “destruction,” and “awe”—which have been central to XG’s previous works—are woven throughout the project. The Visualizer for the release, which embodies XG’s avant-garde worldview and their vision for ‘X-POP,’ has received widespread praise from audiences both in Japan and internationally.
