Series features a variety of artists performing in New York City

Live Nation, The Araca Group and EBG (Entertainment Benefits Group) have announced that Yanni will be the first performer for their In Residence on Broadway series running this summer. The new partnership brings a variety of artists to Broadway venues multiple times each year and runs May through July 2019 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Pure Yanni: An Intimate Evening With Yanni and His Piano will run from May 28th-June 2nd.

Artists will take the Broadway stage for a limited residency of five to ten shows over the course of one to two weeks. Each show will include a special Q&A so each residency is different. Additional performers for the 2019 spring/summer engagement will be announced in the coming weeks and tickets will be available at ticketmaster.com.

The new partnership formed last summer when three unique and influential entertainment companies discovered that they all had committed to the same idea at the same time. “Over the last few years on Broadway, we’ve seen non-traditional Broadway shows take center stage. In a time when shows other than musicals and plays are being presented, we started dreaming about bringing our favorite entertainers to Broadway,” states Matthew Rego CEO of The Araca Group.

“Live Nation is excited to partner with The Araca Group & EBG to become part of the Broadway community and bring this unique concert experience to fans in New York,” says Anthony Makes, President of Live Nation in New York. “In Residence on Broadway will bring a wide range of artists to an intimate Broadway setting for an up close and personal performance.”

“We established In Residence on Broadway as an opportunity for artists to bring their talents to a true Broadway stage in New York, which will be a special experience for fans,” comments Scott Zeiger of EBG. “The amazing team of designers will create customized stage experiences to reflect each artist’s signature style.”

The production team will include Tony and Emmy nominated lighting designer Mike Baldassari, who has worked on Broadway shows such as Cabaret and major motion pictures including Ghostbusters and Sex and The City 2, five-time Tony nominated sound designer Peter Hylenski who is currently represented on Broadway with King Kong and Frozen, and Tony nominated sound designer Garth Helm. PRG will provide Lighting and Sound Equipment.
